A short history of tractors in Ukrainian - Book illustration

Well I've been life drawing, book binding, drinking and working hard on a few projects recently, here are the finished outcomes for the book illustration project for the book 'A short history of tractors in Ukrainian' by Marina Lewycka.

We were asked to create 6 illustrations, two of them are double page spreads.

 

Kingsgate show - Edgware road

Turns out my Edgware road man was selected to be in the exhibition!
Had a great time, lots of free beer, awesome art and a nearby local pub with £2 Fosters and bands that can only be described as massively impregnating.

 

Poshest kebab place we had ever seen..

Also found out today that both pieces sold!

If my pieces get selected they will be in the Middlesex Illustration show 23rd to 28th november, open daily 12.00 - 6.00pm at the Kingsgate gallery, 110 Kingsgate road, London, NW6 2JG

House of Superflake

 The lovely guys at Superflake custom graphics sent me some great zines and badges, they've kept me entertained for a while and are a great source of inspiration. Especially the 'Hoarder' zine which features a variety of packaging/tags, zines and just generally awesome stuff that is sometimes overlooked.

Marble arch/ Edgware road Location drawing

New reportage assignment to create two images capturing the vitality of one of London's main highways, Edgware road.

Here are some developmental sketchbook drawings done on location at Edgware.

Possibly making this blue one into a limited edition set of screen prints.
